We offer cash and margin accounts.
Cash account clients can only trade with the amount of fund available in their accounts.
Margin account clients need to deposit a certain amount of fund into their accounts. We will provide a margin loan to the margin account based on client assessment and the margin ratio of client's securities holding. Client's securities will be held in custody with First Shanghai as collateral. As the price of securities may fluctuate, we reserve the right to request a margin client to deposit additional fund or securities if his/her margin position fell below the maintenance level.

2. How do I open an account for online trading?

Press 'Open an Account' on the top left hand corner, fill in your personal information and we will contact you shortly for account opening. Alternatively, you may come to our office in person, bringing along the necessary supporting documents to open an account. Our office address is:

3. Who can perform the Witness Signature?

Witness signature should be preformed by our company’s staffs, notary public or professionals, such as lawyer or certified public accountant.

4. If I open the trading account through online channel, how could I get the information regarding to the risk involved in the account opening?

If clients open the account online, our Hong Kong CS officers will make a phone call to explain the account opening’s Risk Disclosure Statement to clients. In the meantime, clients can seek independent professional’s advice.

5. What type of stocks can I trade?

At present, clients can trade Hong Kong, China B shares, Taiwan, Singapore and US 's stock in First Shanghai Securities Limited (FSSL)

6. If I am not a Hong Kong citizen, can I still open an account?

We welcome clients from all around the world. If you wish to open an individual cash account, please click 'Open an Account' on the top left corner of our website

7. What documents/proofs are needed to open an account?

For Individual/Joint Account
1. Copy of the Hong Kong Identity Card or Passport of each individual account(s) holder
2. Proof of Residential Address

For Corporate Account
1. Minutes of the Meeting of the Board of Directors approving the opening of Account(s) and Authorized Officers to operate the account(s) (see Schedule II)
2. Memorandum and Articles of Association with all of its subsequent amending resolutions
3. Latest Annual Return with all of its subsequent amending documents or Register of Members and Directors
4. Copy of the Business Registration Certificate (if any)
5. Copy of the Certificate of Incorporation
6. Copy of the Hong Kong Identity Card or Passport of the Directors and Authorized Officers to operate the account(s)
7. Latest Audited Financial Statements
8. Letter of Guarantee (see Schedule III)

8. Do I need to pay any fees for account opening?

It is completely free of charge to open an account with us. There will be no annual fee nor initial deposit. However, clients have to ensure that there is enough fund in his/her account before trading.

9. How long does it take to open an account?

It depends on how promptly you send back the signed Account Opening Information Form and Client Account Agreement to us. It may take as little as one business day.

10. How would I know that my account has been successfully opened?

Upon successful account opening, we will inform you the Login Username and Password by email or mail.
